The BOSS OPEN 2023 were a complete success

Nine days of postcard weather, a dramatic final match with US American Frances Tiafoe as the charismatic tournament winner and a huge celebrity crowd - the BOSS OPEN 2023 were a success on all lines!

The thrilling and high-class final of the BOSS OPEN tore the fans on the sold-out Centre Court at Stuttgart's Weissenhof from their seats again and again. At the end, HUGO BOSS CEO Daniel Grieder, tennis legend Boris Becker, entertainer and pop singer DJ Ötzi, Wimbledon representative Richard Stoakes, Lord Mayor Frank Nopper and Tournament Director Edwin Weindorfer also applauded US American Frances Tiafoe on his third title win on the ATP Tour in the "International Box".

The 25-year-old from Maryland beat local hero Jan-Lennard Struff 4-6, 7-6 (7/1), 7-6 (10/8) in a dramatic final to break into the top ten of the world rankings for the first time in his career. "I still can't believe that I won the tournament. Now I'm also in the top ten - it's all very emotional for me right now," cheered the US boy.

Edwin Weindorfer also had reason to be happy - 48,300 spectators came to the Weissenhof during the nine days of the tournament. This represented a considerable increase over the previous year, when just over 30,000 tennis enthusiasts passed through the turnstiles. "In the final phase of the tournament from Friday to Sunday, we were sold out and the atmosphere among the crowd was terrific," Weindorfer summed up.

The BOSS OPEN is also developing more and more into a society event - especially the Players Party and the Lawn ProAm magically attract the celebrities. The ProAm, which is under the patronage of Günther Oettinger, was opened by the former Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg himself. Afterwards, actor Mark Keller, ski star Alexander Aamodt Kilde, VfB Stuttgart legend Hansi Müller and Boris Becker's son Elias proved that they also know how to handle a tennis racket. Valuable tips were provided by former top ten stars Daniela Hantuchova and Tommy Haas.

Anyone who doesn't want to miss out on next year's tennis spectacle should make a note of the date now: from June 8 to 16, 2024, tennis balls will once again be hit over the net at the BOSS OPEN at Stuttgart's Weissenhof.
