Alexander Zverev „doubles up“ his commitment to the BOSS OPEN

The BOSS OPEN have landed its first superstar! Alexander Zverev will play for one of the most coveted titles on the ATP Tour from June 8 to 16, 2024 on the grounds of TC Weissenhof - and there’s more: the current world number seven and Germany's number one will also be competing in Stuttgart in 2025.

"The BOSS OPEN have developed extremely well, especially in the recent past. The tennis-loving crowd at the Weissenhof creates a very special atmosphere. I am therefore very much looking forward to playing in Stuttgart in the next two years. The tournaments in Germany have a special significance for me. There's nothing better for me than playing in front of my fans," emphasizes Alexander Zverev, who has made a strong comeback in the second half of this year's season with tournament wins in his home city of Hamburg and in Chengdu after suffering an ankle injury in Paris in 2022. The 26-year-old has thus also made the leap to the current ATP Finals in Turin.

Zverev's comeback has also earned great respect from the former world number one Thomas Muster. Speaking on the sidelines of the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, the Austrian said: "Alexander Zverev has really impressed me over the past few months. He was on his way to becoming number one when he suffered a serious injury in Paris last year. Pretty much everything in his ankle was torn, but he got back on track impressively with strong performances," said the 1995 and 1996 Stuttgart winner.

As a top ten star, Alexander Zverev will be one of the four seeded players at the BOSS OPEN next year who will enjoy a bye in the first round. "This gives Alexander Zverev enough time to prepare optimally for the BOSS OPEN, even if he goes far at the French Open in Paris in the weeks before. We are delighted that we can announce the German number one's start in Stuttgart at such an early stage and that Alexander Zverev will also be playing in Stuttgart in 2025," said Tournament Director Edwin Weindorfer.
